Various collaborations between Bruno Meißner and licensor Marler Haley Ltd.

1977
Foundation of Meißner ExpoSysteme GmbH in Norderstedt near Hamburg by Dipl.Kfm. Bruno Meißner. The company's main product is the MultiDisplaySystem developed by Marler Haley Exposystems, which is manufactured under license for the German, Austrian and Swiss markets.

1981
Licensor Marler Haley is accepted as a co-partner. After opening a branch with an exhibition room in Cologne, further branches in Frankfurt, Munich and Berlin will follow within the next two years.

1989
Introduction of the Veloce system as the world's first folding display with integrated lighting.

1990
Processing of the first major order with Veloce folding displays for the Federal Employment Agency in Nuremberg.

1992
Relocation to new, larger rooms in Norderstedt / Glashütte and expansion of the exhibition construction department with a focus on small and medium-sized exhibition stands in mixed, modular and system construction.

1993
Meißner ExpoSysteme becomes a wholly-owned subsidiary of the British Marler Haley Ltd. Bruno Meißner becomes Group Director and partner at Marler Haley ExpoSystems.

1998
Meißner ExpoSysteme and Marler Haley with their branches in the Netherlands and Belgium become part of the MICE Group Plc, London. At the end of 1998, Meißner Exposysteme took over the 150-year-old company Apfelstedt + Hornung in Hamburg, moved to the A + H premises in Hamburg at the beginning of 1999 and became a service partner of Hamburg Messe through A + H.

1999
The MICE MEISSNER EXPO GmbH is taking over the Berlin exhibition construction company Kadoke Display Deutschland, which is now operating under the MICE KADOKE brand. Bruno Meißner publishes the book “The ABC of trade fair appearance” in Lexika-Verlag.

2000
MICE MEISSNER EXPO has its most successful year with many successful large-scale projects at the EXPO2000 in Hanover: Producer for the "Global House - House of Worldwide Projects" with 6,500 m² of exhibition space, general contractor for the exhibition and interior design of the "Pavilion of Hope" with 700 m² of exhibition space, conception and construction of the Uzbekistan Pavilion with an area of 1,800 m², as well as production and construction of 3 hands-on play stations on behalf of the Expo company, and equipping the National Days with protocol material. The company, which now employs 80 people with its Expo office in Hanover, was awarded the gold medal for the “positive and committed support for global projects, this very important part of the EXPO2000 program”.

2001
Introduction of the new motto: "The reliable partner for your perfect appearance". Exhibition stands are designed and planned as part of the overall exhibition presence. Successful reference examples include trade fair workshops for sales teams as well as personal training for trade fair staff.

2002
In the course of the year, 14 workshops on the subject of “Trade fair appearances as an integrated marketing instrument” with a total of more than 500 participants will be held throughout Germany as an anniversary campaign. The product range of MICE Meissner Expo GmbH has been consolidated into 13 presentation systems. In December, 33 employees celebrate the 25th company anniversary.

2003
A comprehensive logistics service is being developed for customers for small exhibition stands and displays: storage of displays, shipping to the exhibition location, retrieval, maintenance and re-storage are desirable services for customers in the IT and pharmaceutical industries.

2006
Merger of the German companies of the MICE Group under the umbrella of MICE International Deutschland GmbH. Raul Rios takes over the management of the Hamburg business units, but Bruno Meißner remains loyal to the company as Director Business Development.

2007
In June, the MICE Group collapsed as a result of economic problems at the British manufacturing companies. In August, the German MICE International Deutschland GmbH also had to file for bankruptcy. New investors are being sought for the three locations of Erlangen, Berlin and Hamburg as business continues.

2008
Bruno Meißner founds the new MEISSNER EXPO GmbH in Hamburg and, together with Thomas Garreis, the MEISSNER + GARREIS Displaysysteme GmbH & Co. KG. These two companies take over parts of the Hamburg unit from the insolvency and continue to employ the majority of the employees. The exhibition unit is being reorganized by MEISSNER EXPO, MEISSNER + GARREIS is reorganizing the display unit. At the end of July, both companies will move into new premises. The company now has 1500m² of space available for storage, production, showrooms and offices.

2011
Bruno Meißner, managing director and majority shareholder of MEISSNER EXPO GmbH, appoints his son Nikolaus Meißner as authorized signatory. Nikolaus Meißner completed his degree in business administration at the University of Münster, joined the company as a project manager in 2009 and is now taking on additional responsibility in the areas of project management and customer service.

2013
A new corporate division is founded: MEISSNER CONCEPT is the offspring’s name and takes care of the design of exhibition stands, tenders, cooperation with agencies and the organization of congresses. Graphic drafts and elaborations are also part of the MEISSNER CONCEPT portfolio.

2015
Nikolaus Meißner is appointed managing director. Bruno Meißner will remain active in the company as the main managing partner for the time being.

2016
MEISSNER EXPO is expanding and moving to Halstenbek on the outskirts of Hamburg. There is enough space now for sophisticated logistics on the 5000 property. An old villa becomes the new administration building, a 1500 hall is newly built according to the latest standards.

2018
MEISSNER EXPO celebrates its anniversary: A good 40 years ago, Bruno Meißner founded MEISSNER EXPO SYSTEME GmbH, which has existed as MEISSNER EXPO GmbH for 10 years.

2020
The MEISSNER EXPO STUDIO opens. In the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic, MEISSNER EXPO is positioning itself for the future with an in-house green screen studio.
